How Has The Art Of Writing Affected Due To Google SEO, SERPs, & AI

Recently, someone on #LinkedIn pointed out—why do I talk about everything on LinkedIn but not about my own domain—Content Writing? Well, to be honest, as someone with 5+ years of experience in #contentwriting, I have nothing to say about it. Yes, you read that right.
For someone like me, who has never had a Plan B in case I couldn’t be a writer, I know how deeply intertwined writing is with ‘me.’ Whether I am working for my office, sleeping, watching movies, or creating #Instagram reels—you cannot separate the ‘writer’ or ‘creator’ in me. But the deafening cacophony surrounding AI and content writing shatters my heart into pieces—and maybe my mind too.
Today, your professional writing doesn’t mean anything to employers or even clients. All they want is 2,000-3,000 words per day and Google rankings. Obviously, for someone who is deeply connected to writing, producing such a massive number of words in a day feels overwhelming. But that’s when you’ll be reprimanded for not showing productivity.
Now, instead of quality #research, well-crafted sentences, and a strong command over facts and language, your #article is judged by:
*How many views it gets
*Whether it ranks on search engine pages
*Whether it generates leads for clients
Forget #agencylife, the situation is even worse in book publishing. If you’re an outsider or someone trying to make their mark in the world of literature, getting your manuscript approved by a publisher is almost impossible. But that same publisher will gladly publish a book by a politician or a tinsel-town celebrity—whose contribution to literature is zero.
That’s when the unwritten cold war between the Common vs. Elite comes to the surface. No matter how well you write, how informative your content is, at the end of the day, 9 out of 10 publishers will ask you to go for the self-publishing route—which, honestly, is nothing but a sham.
These days, considering the writing fad, self-publishing has become the simplest way to mint money while the publisher does literally nothing. Because if I have to get my book published myself, why shouldn’t I just print it at my nearest printing press and publish it under my own publishing house? After all, it’s far easier to launch a publishing house than to pay a hefty amount to self-publishing companies—just to self-publish a book!
With AI taking over content writing & #Google deciding the intellectual acumen of your content, it’s the perfect time to enjoy the other sides and aspects of life while leaving your brain at home when writing content.
Because, at the end of the day, the value of your content will be decided by #AI and bots—not human readers!
