2). Lawaris Remake as Panakkaran

The iconic Hindi movie, Amar Akbar Anthony was remake in Tamil as Shankar Salim Simon, in 1978. Rajinikanth did the role of the Christian guy, Simon, which was actually played by Amitabh Bachachan originally as Anthony in the movie Amar Akbar Anthony.
