Navratri 2019: 4th Day Of The Festival, Maa Kushmanda Is Being Worshipped

On the fourth day of the Hindu festival, Navratri, it is the Goddess; Kushmanda is being worshiped, with much love, zeal, affection and enthusiasm.

The Goddess, Kushmanda, is regarded as one of the most important Hindu goddesses, and she is also being attributed and also credited as being the creator of this universe.

She is also known for creating the universe with her divine smile. Followers of the Kalikula tradition consider her as per the belief, that she is the fourth form of the Goddess, Durga, one of the most important Hindi deity.

The word, Kushmanda, means, Ku means “a little”, Ushma means “warmth” or “energy” and Anda means “cosmic egg”.

The Goddess, Kushmanda, is being worshiped on the 4th day of the festival, Navratri, (nine nights of Navadurga) and the Goddess, is being famous for improving the health and bestow wealth and strength, which is also very important for the human survival anyway.

She is also very akin to the Bali of white pumpkin which is regarded as the Kushmanda (कुष्माण्ड). Because of her association with Brahmanda and Kushmanda, she is wide, called as the Goddess Kushmanda.

Puja of the above mentioned Goddess is done on the Chaturthi of the festival, Navaratri, which is connected with the endowment of vegetation on earth, so the color of the day is green, as green is the epitome of the vegetation.

She is shown as having eight arms and sits on a Tiger and she is the Mahalaxmi adya Shakti gauri.
