The Rajasthan PTET (Pre-Teacher Education Test) exam 2020 had been postponed till further notice as per the latest circular issued by the Rajasthan Government. The PTET Exam 2020 was scheduled to be held on 10th May next month, but the same stands canceled now due to Coronavirus.
In other news, the Government Dungar College in Bikaner has now instead extended its error correction window up to 5th May. This year, Dungar College was entrusted with the responsibility of conducting the Rajasthan PTET Exam – 2020. Your PTET Admit Card must be error-free and shouldn’t have any errors like incorrect name, address, date of birth, and other details.
It was earlier stated that candidates can easily download their admit cards from 5th May onwards. That too stands canceled now until further notice. Soon, fresh dates for admit card download and exam date are likely to be announced.
Rajasthan Pre-Teacher Education Test: Key Information
Rajasthan Pre-Teacher Education Test (PTET) is a professional entrance exam that aimed at evaluating the candidate’s overall merit for taking admission into colleges for B.Ed (2 years course) and Bsc.-BA (four-year-integrated course).
This year, more than 4,80,900 candidates have applied for PTET 2020. Of these, 3,26,990 candidates have applied for the two-year B.ED course while the remaining candidates – around 1,52, 990 – have applied for the four-year integrated course.
Date of Application: Candidates were asked to fill out their application process within a time-framed window up to 15th April 2020.
Eligibility: Candidates from the Unreserved category must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate in their graduation or Master’s degree. While reserved candidates (OBC, SC & ST) should have passed their Master’s or Bachelor’s examination with 45%.
Rajasthan PTET EXAM Patterns
Like other competitive B.ED entrance exams, PTET will also test your mental reasoning, general knowledge, language proficiency (English or Hindi), and teaching aptitude. Each section will have 50 questions. You have to attempt a total of 200 questions in three hours.
The exam will be conducted in the conventional pen and paper mode. All questions will be of objective type with multiple options. You have to choose only one answer, which you feel to be correct.
Rajasthan Pre-Teaching Entrance: Life After the Exam
If you are among the luckier ones, who pass this exam – you are now eligible for the online counseling session. If you don’t appear for online counseling or refuse the college allotted to you by the authority, then you’ll instantly lose your PTET merit. And, you will be disqualified from taking admission into B.Ed.
New Date of PTET 2020 Exam & Result Announcement
Reportedly, the final date of Rajasthan PTET 2020 is now assumed to be held in the first week of June. You can download your PTET admit card (without which you won’t be allowed to take the exam) from 1st June onwards.
Rajasthan Pre-Teaching Education Test will release its result in August, and candidates can start their new B.Ed session from September onwards depending upon the academic calendar of their allotted colleges.
