Pink Gemstone Buying Guide
There are many types of pink gems. Before you buy, you need to have a certain understanding of them. Here are some common pink gems to share: Rose quartz stone is beautiful and gentle, named for its rosy pink color. Rose quartz stone ranges in color from light pink to medium or dark pink. It is an ideal Valentine’s Day gem, and some people call it “Love Stone” because it is thought to balance emotions and heal anger or disappointment.
Pink, salmon, rose, peach… All of these light colors are a good description of the Morgan Stone – a beryl with a range of colors from pink to orange pink. Morgan Stone named after J.P. Morgan in 1910, was discovered and promoted in Madagascar. The subtle colors of Morgan Stone are obtained from the trace amount of manganese in the crystal structure. This pink gemstone is a lovely presence in a jewelry box.
The color of kunzite from pink to violet can be used as a substitute for amethyst. Although the kunzite is beautifully soft pink, the most valuable colors are heavy pink to violet. Kunzite was first discovered in Para, California in 1902 and named after George Kunz. It is a good choice as a commemorative gift for Valentine’s Day.
Colored diamonds are highly valued for their rare and pure colors. Colored diamonds – including pink – described by GIA, the colours range from “subtle” to “brilliant”. Remember to ask the jeweler for a GIA color diamond grading report before purchasing a pink diamond. Of all the colored diamonds, pink is considered one of the most valuable colors. One of the famous pink diamonds is Graff Pink (GIA graded Fancy Intense pink), which weighs about 24.78 carats and was sold at Sotheby’s in 2010 at a record $46 million.
Spinel comes in a wide range of colors, from red to pink to purple and blue. The pink spinel is very beautiful, as a gift, it can bring a unique feeling to Valentine’s Day. There are eleven polished spinels in the carrie name necklace.
This gem has the same wide range of colors as spinel. But for famous, it’s pink, green and blue. Especially red to pink, in particular, is commercially known as the red tourmaline, the color is due to the presence of internal manganese. If a chemical change occurs in the environment in which the tourmaline is present, the crystals change color as they grow, even forming crystals containing two or more colors at both ends. If you and your partner are constantly changing and growing over time, then a pink tourmaline or watermelon tourmaline jewelry is a great commemorative gift.
What is the difference between pink sapphires and rubies? In fact, there is an interesting intersection between the two because they are all variants of mineral corundum. Ruby presents precious pure red to red with a slight purple tone. If the color is not full enough, the red color is very small, even if the color intensity is high, it will not be recognized as ruby, but pink sapphire. The dividing line between ruby and pink sapphires has been a topic of debate in the industry because of the cultural differences in the definition of pink sapphire/ruby. For example, a gem-producing country may classify a gem-level pink corundum as a ruby, and a gem-consuming country may classify it as a pink sapphire. The GIA’s identification policy is that the dominant color must be red before the gem-level corundum is identified as ruby.
There are many colors of pink gemstones, everyone can find a color and style that suits them. Buy a birthstone necklace charms of your own.
First of all I would like to say wonderful blog! I had a
quick question in which I’d like to ask if you don’t mind.
I was curious to know how you center yourself and clear your
mind prior to writing. I’ve had trouble clearing my mind in getting my thoughts out
there. I do enjoy writing however it just seems like the first 10 to 15 minutes are wasted just trying to figure
out how to begin. Any ideas or tips? Thanks!
