Is Using AI for Content Writing Bad or Unethical? Why Writers Take Help from AI?

Recently, my colleague was startled by my #LinkedIn posts I had shared a few days ago.

My #friend: See, you are qualified. You have studied so much. You have been writing for so many years. Then what suddenly has happened to you? These days, I see you post a lot about how you love writing using AI tools. May I know why?”

Believe me, I am not doing it for myself. Because at the end of the day, the value of your content will be judged—first, on the basis of what various AI detectors have to say about it; second, your content’s ranking on #Google; & third, it’ll be determined by the number of views.

Me: “Listen, my friend! I absolutely loathe using #AI tools. I say it in unambiguous terms that pre-AI days were the best for #content writing professionals.

No, AI didn’t make us cripples, but the constant humiliation by clients and AI detectors has brought us to a situation with no exit.

I would absolutely love to write original 2000 words all by myself–without any help from AI or any other tools.

But then, will you stick to these?

*Don’t ask me to write like native speakers… because every person has a different way of saying the same thing. As an #Indian, I can never write the way an American, British, or Australian writer does — even though we’re all writing in #English and grammatically correct, too.

*We Indians love speaking in a twisted format. Call it #diplomacy or our intention not to hurt others, but we Indians absolutely love saying things indirectly—and it’s completely okay and grammatically correct.

*Don’t check my content on AI detection tools without reading it from start to end yourself. After all, it’s too easy to draw a conclusion based on what a pathetic AI detector says, but writing 1000 words all by yourself can mean a lot of hard work even for a professional writer. And we take pride in it.

*I request you to first read my content, check each word and sentence yourself, and see how you feel about it at first sight. Do you see any AI-heavy words? If not, does the language look natural? If the answer to both is yes, then it’s completely useless to judge my intellectual capacity & creative skills based on what some useless and idiotic AI detectors say.

*Because every time you check my content, each AI detector will have something different to say. Some may say 25% AI detected, some may say 5%, and some may say 100%. & I absolutely have no control over it.

*I am responsible for what I write and what I say—not for what you understand or what your pathetic AI detectors have to say about my content. If you give me hundreds of #SEO rules & ask me to follow how your competitors are writing just because they are now ranking on Google, excuse me—I’m out of it.

*If you want me to write in excessively polished language, be clear—such polished work can only be generated by machines & AI. You can’t expect a human writer to write in a straightforward tone without fluff.
