Today, it is Day 7th, of the Hindu festival, Chaitra Navaratri, and on this day, we all worshipped, the Goddess, Kalaratri (at times spelled Kaalratri).
The Goddess, Kalaratri, is the 7th of the nine forms of the Goddess Durga, which is regarded as the Navadurga. The Goddess, Kalaratri, is also referred as the Durga Saptashati, which is mentioned in the Markandeya Purana, the original recognized and acknowledged literature of the Goddess Durga, one of the most important Hindu deity.
The Goddess, Kalaratri is, an angry form of the Mother Goddess, and she is widely regarded as amongst the one, several, destructive forms of the above mentioned Mother Goddess, which is consists of the Goddess, Kali, Mahakali, Bhadrakali, Bhairavi, Mrityu, Rudrani, Chamunda, Chandi and Durga.
Regarded as one of the most ferocious forms of Goddess Durga, the Hindu Goddess, Kalaratri, is respected on Saptami.
As per legend of the Hinduism, the Goddess, Parvati, took the form of the Goddess, Kalaratri, and take a wild and violent form, in order to destroy, the demons Sumbha and Nisumbha.

The color of the day is White and on the occasion of the Saptami, on Navaratri, the Goddess, Durga, can be seen and appears in the white color clothing with plenty of the fury in her fiery eyes and because of the anger in her eyes, her skin turns black.

The white color is stands, for the prayer and peace, and ensures the devotees that the Goddess, Durga is Always WITH THEM in order to protect them from the risk and the harm.
The festival, Saptami, it stands for and to display that the evil, will always get defeat, in the front of goodness, and justice, and the Form of the Goddess, Kalaratri, is taken by the Goddess, Durga, is to get rid of the devils, Sumbha and Nisumbha, the duo were busy on that period to created havoc in the earth and the universe, but on the right time, the Mother, Goddess, Kalaratri, came in rescue, which also indicates that the Goddess, is always there against injustice and she is in support to the people who are always after justice.
So moral of the story is that the Goddess, Durga, is always there to protect her devotes.
