What Is It Like to Be an Extremely Handsome Guy?
Male beauty, or being handsome, is often overlooked because we have so many beautiful-looking girls out there. But my level of handsomeness is such that even girls get shy when they come in front of me.
And, oh my gosh, just rewind the clock five or six years. I was so, so handsome that most girls exhibited crush behaviour around me, especially in my college and then in my office too.
I faced this scrutiny for a long, long time. They would gossip with their friends about my looks and handsomeness. Initially, I felt a bit embarrassed because my other guy friends felt bad, but gradually I got used to it.
And I am telling you, if any new female team member joined my office, she would first approach me for any help. Well, now you know. When girls find an excuse to talk to you, go near you, or feel safer around you, then seriously, you are not just a handsome guy. You are seriously an extremely handsome guy.
I sometimes felt shy about why girls behaved in such a manner, but gradually I understood everything. At the same time, I have never wanted to flirt with too many girls. I have my likes and dislikes. I cannot like every girl just because she wears a hot dress or looks hot.
Just as girls may like me for my handsomeness and intellect, I also like girls for their beauty and intellect.
So, since you want to know how the life of an extremely handsome guy goes, here it is.
Being Handsome: Nine Notable Signs You Can’t Ignore
9. Your Professor May Notice You
You go to college and attend your classes. Your professor checks you out. Yes, this can happen. When you stand out physically, people notice you. Sometimes it is obvious, and sometimes you simply get the feeling that you are receiving a little more attention than everyone else.
You may not even know exactly why someone is looking at you, but when it happens repeatedly, you start noticing the pattern.
8. Girls Giggle When You Talk to Them
Girls may giggle when you talk to them. And once the conversation is over, that girl may reach out to her bestie and talk about it.
I am not saying that every girl who laughs or giggles around a handsome guy has a crush on him. People behave differently for many reasons. Still, when you repeatedly notice the same kind of reaction, you start wondering whether your appearance has something to do with it. Sometimes, it probably does.
7. Your Guy Friends Can Become a Little Insecure
Your guy friends can be a little insecure when they introduce you to their girlfriends. I have faced this in my life and career. Once introduced, they may closely follow to see if you are really interested in her or not.
But in my case, I usually avoid my friend’s girlfriend even for a casual chat because I cherish my friendship more than girls. Once you lose respect in a friendship, that won’t come back easily in life.
A broken friendship due to mistrust does not only break a friendship. It can hurt two souls as well. For me, that has always mattered more than getting attention from another person.
6. Your Professors May Expect More From You
If you are too handsome, your professors and teachers may expect you to be a Superman. Believe me, they may assume that you will understand their lecture or what they are saying at the first go, without even bothering to explain the same thing to you again.
And if by chance you go to them for help, they may consider you intelligent and, somewhere, may not focus as much on you as they do on their less-studious students who might not be as good-looking as you.
This can be a funny side effect of having a certain image. Good looks can sometimes make people assume that you are confident, capable, intelligent, or socially comfortable even before they know anything about you. That assumption can work in your favour, but it can also create expectations.
5. Random Girls May Send You Friend Requests
You can expect random girls to send you friend requests on social media and even on LinkedIn. But here is the catch.
No matter how much they like your extremely handsome look, they will usually initiate a random conversation mostly relating to studies or work. Do not expect them to tell you directly that they like you.
People rarely walk up to someone and say, “I think you are extremely handsome and I want to talk to you.” Instead, there is usually an excuse. “Can you help me with this?”
“Do you know anything about this?” “Can you share that document?” Sometimes the reason is genuine. Sometimes it may simply be an easy way to start a conversation.
4. You Will Make a Lot of Friends and Acquaintances
Even without your knowledge, you would make a lot of friends. You would also have plenty of acquaintances. Many people will love to interact with you and reach out to you for help.
Sometimes, it seems overwhelming because we get just 24 hours a day. Still, you should not lose your patience or temper. Just speak to them politely if you are doing something or are busy with something else.
Do not forget that they are reaching out to you because they trust you more. This is one part of being socially noticeable that I actually appreciate. Being approachable matters. Good looks may get someone to notice you, but your behaviour determines whether they want to continue talking to you.
3. Good Looks Plus Intellect Can Be a Deadly Combination
If your handsome look gets complemented by your intellect, it can be a deadly combination. In extracurricular activities and contests, your teachers may encourage you to participate more and more because they believe you can do better in those contests.
Your good looks can act as a primary motivator here. In my school days, I was hugely encouraged to take part in inter-school sports competitions. Many teachers recommended my name.
Somehow, I withdrew because I knew my limits. Especially in cricket and football, I was literally good for nothing. I have never been a good bowler, batsman, or fielder. Looking good does not magically make you good at cricket. I wish it did.
2. Your Family Will Praise You Too
You will enjoy good respect within your family too. Your parents, siblings, and relatives will often praise you. It might look embarrassing, or you might feel overly pampered, but it is not always bad.
Sometimes, it is good when people appreciate you for your good looks. We often pretend that compliments do not matter, but they do. When the people close to you repeatedly tell you that you look good, you naturally develop some confidence about your appearance.
1. The Rishtas Will Start Coming
Finally, last but not least, you will get plenty of rishtas (matrimonial matches) coming your way as soon as you complete your college life and join a good office.
You will excel in your job interviews too, helped by your good looks, good knowledge, courtesy, gestures, and posture. So, next time, if your uncle reaches out to you with a picture of a girl saying, “See this picture. Do you like her or not?”, do not get angry even if you are in your early thirties.
They are just doing it because they know you are extremely HANDSOME. And that is probably one of the more amusing consequences of having a reputation for looking good.
Is Being Extremely Handsome That Easy?
Not necessarily. Good looks can certainly make some social situations easier. People may notice you faster. They may be more willing to approach you. You may receive compliments, attention, friendship requests, professional opportunities, or matrimonial proposals.
But appearance is only one part of the equation. Your dressing sense, intellect, manners, body posture, confidence, discipline, and the way you treat people also shape how others see you.
That is why I mentioned all of these things at the beginning. I do not think being handsome is simply about having a good face. At least in my case, I believe the complete package has played a major role.
