What Happens When You Expect Humans to Write Like AI?

After much deliberations and living in denial for so long, I agree that AI can write better than humans! If you honestly ask me do I think AI is better than me? My answer is in the affirmative. Of course it is.

So, you might ask, why should we then hire you if Ai can work better than you? My answer is simple: Yes. Ai is better than me and many other content writing professionals might be better than me as well. I never claim I am numero uno nor did I claim to be the best in this business.

Why Hiring Is a Two-Way Decision

But here is the catch! If you honestly ask me why should I hire you? I have a simple answer–Dont hire me. Because just like you have thousands of canddidates to choose for a single post, similarly, I too have hundreds of employers to choose for for a single job. So, either way, this is a pure ‘game of probabilty.’ You select candidates based on work experience, expected salary range, and their capablitilies.

Likewise, I too pick my employer based on who is more toxic or not, location issue, flexibility, salary, learning opportunity, and career growth. So nobody is doing a volunteer service here. It’s a barter system. I do work for you. You pay me in the form of a salary!

Now, over the last year years, in the corporate content sector, the much hulabaloo about AI in content is literally making me feel sick to the core. It’s completely useless. You want to use a single AI paid subscription tool instead of hiring three or four writers, do it now. Who stops you from doing so?

But why you always shout and brag that AI is better than humans? When did we even contradict that? Now, AI is being used in many fields and we have to accept AI’s supremacy.

But then if you want humans to write for you, dont expect them to write the way AI does. Because once you set conditions in front of writers, that they have to do this and that, it’s going to backfire. Your content neither reflects the human voice nor will it be spotless that AI does after a few edits. The chocie is yours. But dont confuse writers more.

You want human content? Go… ask for it. But when writer sends the draft to you for review, please go through the same yourself manually reading each line instead of checking the same on AI detectors. Because once you set the condition of reviewing content on AI detectors than writers also have the alibi to humanise the Ai-written content and claim the same to be their own.

Now, who is promoting dishonesty and unprofessionalism here? of course, it’s you — the employer and only and only you need to be blamed.

Creativity Requires Freedom, Not More Rules

If you suggest 100 types of formatting rules, character limits, brand tones, and this and that, then obviously humans can’t do it.

If you want creative stuff, then you have to give people full liberty, even if that results in minor fluff, errors, or deviations from the core brand voice, because that’s what humans do. Even in our day-to-day conversations, we don’t always speak in a branded tone and often resort to a casual voice.

So, if you give that liberty, it will be easier for writers to work in that manner. But in today’s scenario, most companies just copy what competitors do and ask writers to follow the same format. This results in the use of AI because, of course, humans can’t do what robots do when it comes to copying the exact tone, exact style, and exact voice of competitors.

Conclusion

This is the primary reason why corporate content gets such low visibility these days. Everyone is literally reading the same thing in a slightly changed voice. It is similar to putting the same tea in a different cup. The corporate flavor remains the same, even though the brand name is different. As simple as that.
