The World Kidney Day, is also known as the “WKD”, is a health awareness campaign which is being the focus and highlight importance of the kidneys and the World Kidney Day is also having an aim to reducing the kidney disease which is spreading in this world.
The World Kidney Day is observing each and every year on the 2nd Thursday in the month of the March. Initially, the day was observed and celebrated by 66 nations in the year of 2006. And eventually, the celebration number was increased to around 88 reportedly.
The World Kidney Day is a joint initiative of the International Society of Nephrology (ISN) and the International Federation of Kidney Foundations (IFKF). The day was intended to raise awareness about conditions of the kidney; which is one of the very important and crucial human body parts.
This year in 2019, we shall celebrate the event or the carnival World Kidney Day on this 14th of March, (2nd Thursday in March).

And this year, the theme of the #WorldKidneyDay 2019 is “Kidney Health for Everyone, Everywhere”.
This year also the day will be observed in this whole globe with a goal to spread awareness and some information for keeping kidneys healthy so that the citizens of the world can stay away from the diseases.
