Broad Green Pictures has revealed the scary theatrical terrifying trailer for the forthcoming movie Wish Upon and the film is touted as a sleeper horror hit in 2017. The last year hit Netflix series Stranger Things, made news but now it seems like the film the film Wish Upon will leave an impression on the Hollywood box office.
The horror film also marks the return of Barb herself, Shannon Purser, who is part of this huge cast for the movie and the film is all set to lead by Joey King and Ryan Philippe.
Moviegoers’ recent undying thirst for blood-soaked scares and the film Wish Upon seems like going to do justice with the concept of the same.
The story of the film is all about a 17-year-old Clare Shannon (Joey King) is bullied in high school, embarrassed by her manic, hoarder father Jonathan (Ryan Phillippe) and ignored by her long-time crush.
She is also disturbed as her mother sudden suicide so she is a depressed kid but her life turned changes when her father comes home with an old music box whose inscription promises to grant its owner seven wishes.
While Clare is initially skeptical of this magic box, still somehow she got attracted towards the dark powers of the box and she confessed her each wish in the front of the old music box which comes true all of them.
Now Clare is too happy as she gets the life which she was wishing and everything seems perfect in her life until the people who are closest to her begin dying in violent and elaborate ways after each wish.
Now Clare realizes that she must get rid of the box, but finds herself unable to get rid of this new life which she has because of the old music box.
So its look like the movie Wish Upon will be leading her down a dark and dangerous path. Be careful what you wish for…
Broad Green Pictures debuted in this trailer earlier today, along with the photos and the new poster. The studio and the makers have also moved Wish Upon release date, as initially the film was planned to release in July of 2017.
The horror drama decided to push the release date of the movie Wish Upon only to avoid the facing of it with the movie “Despicable Me 3”, “The House and Amityville: The Awakening”, to July 14.
It was the time when the film “War For the Planet of the Apes” and “Midnight Sun” also hit theatres.
These days some low-budget horror is doing good and having plenty of success from the past recent years, with films such as Lights Out ($148.8 million worldwide, $4.9 million budget), Don’t Breathe ($157 million worldwide, $9.9 million budget), Split ($257.3 million worldwide, $5 million budget) and Get Out ($139.4 million worldwide, $4.5 million budget) finding immense success over the past year.
Joey King and Ryan Phillippe are playing lead roles in the movie Wish Upon, alongside, Ki Hong Lee, Mitchell Slaggert, Shannon Purser, Sydney Park, Alice Lee, Kevin Hanchard, Elizabeth Rohmand Sherilyn Fenn. John R. Leonetti, who directed Annabelle, the horror spin-off of The Conjuring, directs Wish Upon.
