The movie actress Vidya Balan will be seen as a radio jockey (RJ) named Sulochana, in her upcoming flick, in the movie people out of affection will be calling her Sulu, so the talented actress Vidya Balan is announced her forthcoming flick as “Tumhari Sulu”.

Regarding her role and this unique movie with a super cool name Sulu, Vidya Balan stated to media that “Sulu is like that nimbu (lemon)… you add nimbu for taste or then add it to balance taste; zesty and versatile! I think she will unleash my naughty side”.

Co-produced by T-Series, Tumhari Sulu is a “lovely heart-warming story made for Vidya”, said Bhushan Kumar, T-Series honcho. Sulu lands herself an unexpected job of an RJ, who is having a job to present a late-night show, known for its voyeuristic quality and semi-adult cute mischief behaviour.

“The character of Sulu is fun, happy-go-lucky and grounded, everything that Vidya is even in real life,” stated joint producers Tanuj Garg, Atul Kasbekar and Shanti Sivaram Maini of Ellipsis Entertainment.

The film’s director Suresh Triveni says he feels honoured to have Vidya in the titular role, “Tumhari Sulu’ has been handcrafted for Vidya and to have her as a lead in my first feature is an honour. I look forward to seeing the story come alive as I have lived with it for almost a year now”.

Vidya Balan says she could relate to the role of a mother in her upcoming film “Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh”, as she is able to understand children very well. She also playing the role of a helpless mother who is looking for her children which make her role in the movie worthy one, on the other hand, she is having an allegation for kidnapping and murdering in the movie “Kahaani 2”.

“If I had played this character when I was 25 or 26 years old then there wouldn’t have been the relatability factor. But over the years I have begun to enjoy with children, I get along with them, I bond well with them. I love children. My sister has twins, a boy and a girl, they are five years old. This does tickle the maternal bond,” Vidya said to a statement in Mumbai.
