With the arrival of the April month, we started, waiting for the special day, Siblings Day, which is an extraordinary day.

The #SiblingsDay, is also known as the “National #SiblingsDay”, which is annually celebrated in this whole world, and the day, is special, dedicates to the all siblings around the world.

In some parts of the United States, the #SiblingsDay is declared as the National or the Public Holiday, which is we all celebrate on the 10th April, in each year.

The #SiblingsDay, is an ideal, a perfect and the best day when we can give honor to our siblings.

The day is very similar to Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Parents Day, Sisters Day, Brothers Day, and all.

The day is not federally recognized, despite the fact that the #Siblings Day Foundation is working to alter this. The commemorative day has been recognized by three US Presidents (Clinton, 2000),(Bush, 2008) and (Obama, 2016).

And in 1998, the governors of 49 states have officially made an announcement in order to recognize Siblings Day in their state.

Initially, the day was being celebrated and observed in the US, eventually, the celebration turned to be global and the day was rejoiced in the nations, like, in Australia, United Kingdom, Japan, New Zealand, The Philippines, Nigeria, Sweden, Canada, India and so on.

The Siblings Day is very akin to the Hindu festival and the holiday of Raksha Bandhan, which also celebrates the bond of the siblings, pious relationship of brothers and sisters, but somehow, it is not related and connected to the American holiday.

It is so because, the American holiday, #Siblings Day, is dedicates to the bonding of the all siblings, irrespective of the brothers and sisters, but the Hindu festival, Raksha Bandhan, is especially and dedicates to the sisters and brothers bonding.

In the beginning, US holiday was, conceived and created by Claudia Evart in the memory of her brother and sister who loved each other, both of whom died very early, till then the day turned to be the global day.
