Sachin Tendulkar Creates World Record as a Politician
Master Blaster Sachin Tendulkar has just retired from Rajya Sabha with another World Record. The Cricket Icon, who was inducted into Rajya Sabha, as a President’s Nominee a few years back, has donated his entire salary and allowances amounting to whopping 90 Lakh INR plus allowances to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund.
It is indeed a world record in itself. No Indian MP has previously offered his or her entire salary and allowances as donation to PM Relief Fund.
The former Indian captain has also sanctioned 185 projects across India. Tendulkar might have been criticized for his long absence in Rajya Sabha but as a superhuman he did his task meticulously at the end of his Tenure as a Rajya Sabha MP.
The Batting maestro has also adopted two rural hamlets under the Sansad Gram Adarsh Yojana: Puttam Raju Kandriga (Andhra Pradesh) and Donja (Maharashtra). Development works are going on in full swing at both the places.
A few days back, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has too appreciated the legend’s contribution towards renovation of a school building in Kashmir using his MPLAD Funds.
The Day Sachin Tendulkar Retired from Cricket World
The news came as a shocking as well as depressing. I had never thought of Sachin’s Retirement in my life, but finally I had to swallow the same with a pinch of sadness. Sachin played his maiden ODI match in 1989 in Karachi, but it was only in 1996, that I became his ardent fan and supporter.
Curly hair, short height, a soft spoken voice, and of course, wonderful performance with the bat. Certainly, I have found my batting hero in Sachin Tendulkar. I have no qualm in accepting the fact that I used to switch off TV every time Tendulkar got out.
Sachin Tendulkar continued to be an inspiring force in my life. The day Sachin took retirement from Cricket, I also officially stopped watching the gentlemen’s game with as much fervor and gaiety that I did during his era.

Sachin Tendulkar: The Rarest Gem in Indian Cricket
Keeping all his batting records aside, it is indeed heartening to know that Sachin Tendulkar is the only Indian Cricketer to have found a spot in the list of the Pakistan legend Younis Khan’s all-time Great 11.
A few years back, the Aussie legend Michael Clarke had also tweeted that Sachin Tendulkar was his favorite cricketer. Such is the enigma of Sachin Tendulkar.
He is inspiring us all even after retirement. He is now dedicating a lot of time for Apnalaya, Make a Foundation and other non-governmental organizations with an aim to enlighten the lives of the needy people across India.
Sachin Tendulkar is Batting for Commuter’s Safety
These days, Sachin Tendulkar is also campaigning for safe two-wheeler riding. He has recently penned a letter to Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari asking the ministry to take appropriate action against helmet manufacturers offering helmets of inferior quality.
Two-wheeler riders deserve high quality life saving and shock absorbing helmets that are capable of saving lives during road accidents. What India now needs is the good quality helmet available at lesser price.
It will encourage more and more people to use high-quality helmets for their everyday use. Amazingly, Sachin Tendulkar still motivates every one of us with his good deeds.
