Pawan Kalyan starrer Telugu film Katamarayudu has got a superb opening and the film collected more than Rs 50 crore globally at the Tollywood box office on its very first day show.
Pawan Kalyan starrer Katamarayudu has made good collection at the worldwide box office but still the film failed to break the record which was creative by Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi No 150. The film Katamarayudu received good hype and promotion, as well as it released in massive numbers of theatres.
The distributors made grand arrangements by booking over 1500 cinema theatres for the movie globally. The movie registered a massive amount of advance booking everywhere around the world.
Trade pundits predicted that the film would have been breaking the record even which literally Katamarayudu is doing. The Pawan Kalyan and Shruti Haasan-starrer was premiered in over 200 screens in North America on Thursday night and the film received huge response at the box office because of the Pawan Kalyan’s star power obviously.
So till now the film Katamarayudu has collected over Rs 4.24 crore gross ($650,000) approximately at the US box office in the premiere shows.
The Kishore Kumar Pardasani-directed action drama which registered 100 percent occupancy in mostly theatres of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana on Friday, Katamarayudu is estimated to have collected Rs 28.10 crore gross at the AP/T box office and since released of the film Katamarayudu is earned Rs 22.27 crore as per distributors of these states.
Katamarayudu has beaten the opening day records of Sardaar Gabbar Singh (SGS), and Sardaar Gabbar Singh Pawan Kalyan with its earning Rs 20.92 crore to its AP/T distributors. But still Katamarayudu failed to beat the record of Khaidi No 150, which is consider as the biggest opener of 2017 with box office collection of Rs 23.24 crore to its AP/T distributors.
Here are the estimated area-wise earnings of all the three movies including, Katamarayudu, Khaidi No 150 and Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
The Sharrath Marrar-produced movie Katamarayudu has already received good response from public in Karnataka, Chennai and in other parts of India and in international markets too, the film run in packed house. Katamarayudu is estimated to have collected approximately Rs 21 crore gross which the film already collected on its first day itself.
Katamarayudu has collected a total of more than Rs 51 crore gross globally on its first day. On its opening day, the movie has earned approximately Rs 34.50 crore for its global distributors, and the collections are just record breaking which is Rs 85 crore on its theatrical rights.
Pawan Kalyan’s last outing Sardaar Gabbar Singh earned Rs 40.81 crore gross which was till now biggest collections for any Power Star’s movie but Katamarayudu break the collection of SGS. Chiranjeevi’s comeback film Khaidi No 150 collected Rs 50.45 crore on its first day so it is a biggest Tollywood opener of the year. Katamarayudu has smashed all the records at Telugu cinema box office.
