PadMan: Movie Review & First Day Box Office Collection Day 1: The business of Akshay Kumar’s film picked up towards evening/night shows
PadMan is off to a have a good beginning, pocketing Rs.10 crore on an opening day, penned by the trade analyst Taran Adarsh on his official page of the micro-blogging site.
The business picked up in the evening and as per expectations and anticipation, the movie PadMan perform well over the weekend/ Taran Adarsh tweeted: “PadMan has a decent start. Friday Rs.10.26 crore. The business, expectedly, picked up towards evening/night shows. The journey ahead is crucial. Saturday and Sunday should witness strong growth for a good weekend total.”

The movie PadMan, which is reportedly produced and made on a budget of Rs. 90 crore and the Akshay Kumar starrer PadMan opened to have the good response from the fans as well as from the critics.
“PadMan is kind of movie which is about those who need to take things apart in order to build something better,” film critic Raja Sen wrote in his review.
He gave the film four-star rating and story of the movie PadMan is based on the life of innovator Arunachalam Muruganantham, who is known for invented low-cost sanitary pad making the machine.
Akshay’s character Lakshmi depicts Muruganantham’s worked hard in order to bring about a vital change in the life of rural women who couldn’t afford sanitary pads.
In the process, he breaks various and different kinds of stereotypes and menstrual myths, that is still going on in our Indian society, and this menstrual issues stop or prevent girls or women from doing or performing their day-to-day activities.
PadMan was initially all set to hit theatres on January of 2018 but the leading man Akshay Kumar postponed the release of his movie by two weeks to give “Padmaavat” solo screen released on the Republic Day weekend.
The biopic PadMan is produced by Twinkle Khanna, who also wrote a shot story in Muruganantham’s life, and the movie is helmed by R Balki.
In PadMan, Radhika Apte essayed the role of Akshay’s onscreen wife while Sonam Kapoor portrayed the role of his friends, who guides Lakshmi in his mission of making low cost pad for the rural women.
