The historical TV series Porus is an upcoming TV show which is all set to launches and starts on the popular entertainment channel Sony TV.
Reportedly the periodic and historical TV series Porus is all set to explore the story of the historical man Porus and this is going to unfold the age’s old story of the ruler Porus who was known to have dared to fight for his nation.

Till now Porus never received the attention of Indians or limelight of the silver screen which is the first time Sony TV is all set to do. The makers of the historical TV series are also going to display the powerful and mighty avatar of Alexander The Great.
The TV show is produced by Siddharth Kumar Tewary, under the banner of Swastik Productions. ‘Sony TV‘ Channel is already having some successful TV serials on its kitty including the mythological one called Sankat Mochan Mahabali Hanuman so when Sony TV is launching Porus obviously the serial can be the special one.
Crime Petrol, CID, Kuch Rang Pyar Ke Aise Bhi, KBC are some other popular serials and TV shows of the channel.
In the ancient India, the King Porus was the ruler of Kingdom of Paurava, his kingdom was located between Chenab and Jhelum River at Punjab. In the Battle of Hydaspes, he fought with the Macedonian army of Alexander the Great.
Alexander sent an envoy from Taxila to King Porus for his submission but Porus gave a disobedient reply that he was prepared to meet him at the frontier of his kingdom and in arms.

The King Porus was injured during the battle. The army of King Porus was defeated so he was compelled to surrender in front of Alexander but Alexander being full of admiration showcased his respect for Porus.
Alexander reinstated him as a friend and vassal not only in his own kingdom but also gave him additional territories.
