53% of the children below the age of 18 in this whole nation India, are sexually abused but still, they do not come forward to report this news, the Nobel Peace Prize recipient and children’s rights activist Kailash Satyarthi stated to the various media.
The social worker Kailash Satyarthi was seen interacting with schoolchildren on the last Wednesday. He added further, that his organization, the Bachpan Bachao Andolan, decided and determined to make Karimnagar a child-friendly district or Bal Mitra Gram.
The initiative, the BBA’s website said to seek to create villages where every kid or children will be free from exploitation, receives education, recreation, and health facilities and their voices are heard in the community in an environment of friendliness and dignity.
He stated, as part of the initiative, more than 600 villages in the nation were now child-friendly. “To become a child-friendly district, children should not be abused in any manner and every one of them should be sent to school,” he informed the assembly.
Kailash Satyarthi told that the government needed to spend more funds which will be for the sake of the children’s safety and this should be the participation of the corporate sector which is also needed.
He lauded the efforts of the local Member of Parliament B Vinod Kumar also somehow introduced a private member bill which is only demanding the protection of rights of orphans. “Children are makers of history and the development of the country was not possible without them,” Satyarthi added further.
