Varuthini Ekadashi

Varuthini Ekadashi is also known as the Baruthani Ekadashi, which is a Hindu Holy day, the festival falls on an 11th lunar day of the fortnight of vanishing moon in the Hindu month of Chaitra according to the South Indian Amavasyant Calendar.

Every month ends with a new moon and this falls on the same day in April or May which is very similar to Ekadashis, The fifth avatar of the God Vishnu as Vamana, is being worshipped during this day.
