According to the Vaishnavas, the Hindu festival Govardhan Puja also commemorates the incident and account which is mentioned in the Bhagavata Puran when Bhagwan Shri Krishna lifted the Govardhan Hill and then he gives shelter to all villagers of Vrindavan and protects them from the risky and hammering rains.

The narration is also represented and symbolized the fact that how Lord Krishna will protect all of his devotees always, especially, those who take accommodation in the god’s heart.
