Today it is third day of the Hindu festival, Chaitra Navratri, and on this day, we will worship, the 3^rd form of the Durga Mata, known as Chandraghanta.

According, to the religion, Hinduism, the Mata Chandraghanta , is the 3^rd form of Goddess Durga. The term, Chandraghanta, means, Chandra-Ghanta, means “one who has a half-moon shaped like a bell. Her third eye is always opened and she always ready for war against demons”.

We all worship her on the third day of the Hindu festival, Navaratri (the nine divine nights of Navadurga), whether it is, the Chaitra Navratri or the Sharada Navaratri.

पिण्डज प्रवरारूढा चण्डकोपास्त्रकैर्युता।

प्रसादं तनुते मह्यम् चन्द्रघण्टेति विश्रुता॥

Pindaja Pravararudha Chandakopastrakairyuta।

Prasadam Tanute Mahyam Chandraghanteti Vishruta॥
