So the Delhi government declared that they will be going to pay for treatment of victims of road mishap, accidents, acid attacks and fire-related incidents if happen in the private hospitals in the whole capital town.
This is known as the golden hour and in this first hour after any traumatic injury, the doctor can go with the treatment of people which is likely to succeed during that period.
This decision was taken by the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal during he was at the cabinet meeting on the last Tuesday. The proposal is all set to sends to the Lieutenant Governor for approval.
As per the Health Minister Satyendra Jain, the capital town Delhi actually witnessed 8,000 road mishaps in each year. A Delhi Traffic Police report maintains and stated that the report of the city Delhi said that the deadly and fatal accidents in the city around 1,600 took place in the last year.
“Most of the time, people who help accident victims rush them to the nearest government hospital and not the one that is closest to the accident spot. As a result, the precious time within the golden hour is lost,” Jain stated.
A government official stated regarding the issue of Delhi that there is no cap on the cost of treatment, and whatever the cap is available it is not limited to residents of the national capital.
“Anyone who is in an accident in the capital city and needs immediate, life-saving medical intervention will be covered under this policy. Only the medico-legal case (MLC) needs to be registered in Delhi to avail the benefits,” Jain told to Various press and on last Tuesday the decision comes out which is said that the continuance of the Good Samaritan Policy that is proposed by Arvind Kejriwal.
This is the special order passed by the cabinet and from this January this act is all set to implement which is also cleared by the L-G later.
Under the policy, people who will be rush to help the accident victims and will be taken them to the hospital will be given an incentive of Rs 2,000 and a certificate of appreciation.
