After the puja, you need to keep fasting for the whole day. You might continue your regular routine whether it is household tasks or go to an office but you are allowed to take slat free food. Like, whole day you can take nut, milk, Mithai, Halwa, Puri, fruits and all that.
In the evening the devotee also needs to do the 16 Somvaar Vrat – Puja by offering Prasad, lamp (Diya) and incense stick in the front of the Lord Shiva idol.
